Diana Butler Bass

dbb_19The 2011 T.A. Kantonen lecturer, Diana Butler Bass, provided two lectures based on her upcoming book, After Religion: Three Questions Shaping a New Spiritual Awakening. We are unable to make the lectures available at this time because the content is from her forthcoming book.

Butler Bass' lectures were part of three days of events that also included a Festival Eucharist commemorating the 10-year anniversary of Called to Common Mission, Trinity’s alumni banquet, and a homecoming flag football game.

Alumni Dinner and Reception

Alums gathered for social time during the annual alumni reception and dinner on September 29, 2011, after the Kantonen lecture. The E.L.T.S. and Hamma classes of 1961 and 1971 celebrated their 50th and 40th year graduation reunions. Members from the 1986 class also came together to celebrate their 25th reunion. President Mark Ramseth and Alumni Director Gary Sandberg spent time with alums, updating them on current seminary news.

Homecoming 2011alumlogo-web-2

Members of classes ranging from 1981 – 2011 met head to head with the campus team on Friday, September 30, 2011 for Trinity’s second annual Homecoming Flag Football game. It was a cold and drizzly autumn day, but overflowing with school spirit. After a well-played, injury-free match, the Trinity Campus team took the Homecoming title with 20 points to the Alum team’s 16 points. There were no sore losers, a community-wide picnic was held post-game. The second annual Trinity Homecoming was a huge success and we look forward to seeing alumni here next year during Trinity Days 2012.
